Alan O'Hare, VP COO

Alan C. O'Hare, President CEO, and Director, age 67

Mr. O'Hare was named Chief Executive Officer and President in September, 2011. Mr. O'Hare served as Chief Operating Officer of the company from April 2010 to September 2011. Prior to joining the company, Mr. O'Hare was President and CEO of Hunter Energy LLC., a U.S. based oil and gas exploration company and President of Ponderosa Resources Corporation, a petroleum engineering consulting company.  Mr. O'Hare has a degree in Petroleum Engineering, and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado, USA.  Mr. O'Hare has 40 years of experience in petroleum engineering and management in the oil and gas business.  Mr. O'Hare started his career with Texaco, including assignments as a field engineer, Area Engineering Supervisor, and Division Staff Reservoir Engineer.  He then joined Ladd Petroleum, steadily increasing his management responsibility.  He supervised engineering operations for the Gulf Coast and Rocky Mountains.  As Manager of Property Acquisitions, he directly supervised over $100 million of producing property acquisitions.  He also participated in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and review of operating results with parent company General Electric.  He formed his own consulting companies and provided services to clients including Dow Chemical, International Paper and Burlington Resources.  He advised these clients on about $90 million of acquisitions.  He was appointed Chief Operating Officer at Frontier Resources, where he directed an exploration program for several years.  He later became President and CEO of both DDX Corp. and Hunter Energy, and in partnership with John Masters, founder of Canadian Hunter, which were focused on exploration. While at DDX and Hunter, Mr. O'Hare managed a team of technical people that had special expertise in the area of by-passed pay evaluation, utilizing techniques developed at Canadian Hunter.  He has extensive contacts within the oil and gas business and technical community.  Mr. O'Hare received a degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Wyoming and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
